- Trying to sit on a curveball only made him jump at the pitch and yank it foul
- By letting the ball travel farther, he was able to do more damage on off-speed pitches and keep them fair more often.
⭐️ As pitching gets better, the farther you progress, sitting on pitches becomes harder and harder. You might get away with it in HS, but developing a 1-pitch approach is more conducive to long-term success.
